At Your First Appointment
New patient acupuncture visits run 60 minutes. You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's going on — and treatment to start moving things in the right direction.
Intake & Diagnosis
Your acupuncturist reviews your full health history, performs a pulse and tongue diagnosis, and asks targeted questions about sleep, digestion, energy, and stress. This is how we identify the underlying pattern — not just the symptom.
Treatment That Day
Most patients receive a full acupuncture treatment during the first visit. Single-use sterile needles are inserted at points selected for your case — most patients feel only a slight pinch or nothing at all. Cupping, electroacupuncture, or moxibustion may be added when appropriate.
Your Plan
Before you leave, you'll get a clear treatment plan — how many sessions we expect, what spacing makes sense, and what improvement should look like. Pain conditions usually respond in 4–6 sessions; deeper internal cases may need longer.
