What Sets Us Apart

Not Your Average
Acupuncture Clinic

Most acupuncture clinics run cookie-cutter protocols — same points, same time, same outcome. That's not what we do. We're an integrative clinic where acupuncture is paired with chiropractic, massage, and recovery therapy — so we can actually solve the underlying problem instead of just relaxing you for an hour.

Real Diagnostic Time

Every new patient gets a full intake — health history, pulse, tongue diagnosis, and movement assessment when relevant. We build the treatment plan around your case, not a template.

Insurance That Actually Works

We accept most major medical insurance for acupuncture and verify your benefits before your first visit. Many patients pay just a copay for a full session.

Integrated With Rehab

Acupuncture works alongside chiropractic, ART, shockwave, and massage in our clinic. For musculoskeletal pain, that combination resolves issues faster than any single modality.

Beyond Pain Relief

We treat fertility support, stress and sleep, digestion, hormone balance, and immune health — not just sore backs. Same evidence-based, personalized approach for every case.

The Techniques We Use
TCM · Cupping · Gua Sha · Electroacupuncture · Cosmetic

We're trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside modern adjunct therapies — cupping, gua sha, electroacupuncture, moxibustion, and cosmetic facial acupuncture. Treatment is adapted to your body, your goals, and your comfort level. Whether you're new to acupuncture or have been receiving it for years, we'll match the approach to what you actually need.

Our Approach

How We Treat
Every Patient

The same four-step framework runs through every case — whether you're in for chronic back pain, fertility support, anxiety, digestion issues, or post-surgery recovery.

01

Full Intake

Health history, pulse and tongue diagnosis, lifestyle review, and movement assessment when relevant. We map the full picture before selecting points.

02

Targeted Treatment

Point selection is built specifically for your case — combined with cupping, electrostim, or moxibustion when those will accelerate results.

03

Integrated Plan

We coordinate with our chiropractors, massage therapists, and recovery providers when your case calls for it. One clinic, one plan, faster results.

04

Sustain Progress

Once you're feeling better, visit frequency drops. Many patients shift to monthly maintenance — others wrap care entirely. No high-pressure long-term packages.

Your First Visit

What to Expect
At Your First Appointment

New patient acupuncture visits run 60 minutes. You'll leave with a clear understanding of what's going on — and treatment to start moving things in the right direction.

Inside Chiropractic Remedy in Burbank, CA — treatment room
3607 W Magnolia Blvd · Burbank
01

Intake & Diagnosis

Your acupuncturist reviews your full health history, performs a pulse and tongue diagnosis, and asks targeted questions about sleep, digestion, energy, and stress. This is how we identify the underlying pattern — not just the symptom.

02

Treatment That Day

Most patients receive a full acupuncture treatment during the first visit. Single-use sterile needles are inserted at points selected for your case — most patients feel only a slight pinch or nothing at all. Cupping, electroacupuncture, or moxibustion may be added when appropriate.

03

Your Plan

Before you leave, you'll get a clear treatment plan — how many sessions we expect, what spacing makes sense, and what improvement should look like. Pain conditions usually respond in 4–6 sessions; deeper internal cases may need longer.

Before You Arrive

Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before your appointment — don't come in fasting. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. If you're using insurance, call us ahead and we'll verify your benefits before your visit.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked
Questions

No — not in the way most people expect. Acupuncture needles are about the diameter of a human hair, far thinner than a hypodermic needle. Most patients feel a brief pinch on insertion (or nothing at all), followed by a sensation of warmth, heaviness, or release. If you ever feel sharp pain, the needle is repositioned immediately.
We accept most major insurance plans for acupuncture. Coverage varies by plan — some cover unlimited visits, others have visit caps or specific diagnosis requirements. Call or text (747) 245-5421 before booking and we'll verify your benefits for you. Takes only a few minutes and removes any guesswork about cost.
It depends on the condition. Acute pain often responds in 4–6 sessions. Chronic conditions — long-standing pain, hormonal imbalance, fertility support — typically need 8–12 sessions over several weeks for meaningful change. At your first appointment, we'll give you a realistic timeline based on what we find, not a one-size-fits-all package.
60 minutes for new patient consult + treatment. This includes the full health history review, pulse and tongue diagnosis, point selection, and your first treatment. Standard follow-ups run about 45 minutes.
Yes — when performed by a licensed acupuncturist using sterile single-use needles. All of our practitioners are California-licensed with master's-level training in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Every needle is single-use, sterile, and disposed of safely after one insertion. Side effects are rare and typically mild (slight bruising, momentary fatigue).
Yes. Acupuncture has solid research support for both natural fertility and as an adjunct to IVF, IUI, and other assisted reproductive technologies. Treatment typically focuses on regulating cycles, improving uterine lining, reducing stress, and supporting hormone balance. Most fertility patients work with us alongside their reproductive endocrinologist.
Yes — and many patients do, especially for musculoskeletal pain. We can coordinate same-day or back-to-back visits with our chiropractic team. The two work well together: chiropractic addresses joint mechanics, acupuncture addresses muscle tension, inflammation, and nervous system regulation.
Loose, comfortable clothing that can roll up to the elbows and knees. Acupuncture points are commonly used on the forearms, lower legs, abdomen, and back — so easy access matters. We provide draping for any treatment that requires more disrobing, the same way a massage therapy session would.
